I am the youngest of eight children and have lived in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario. I am married to Jane and we have two sons. We live in Saanich and worship at Gateway Baptist Church. I love camping, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, snorkeling and photography.
I went to high school in Duncan, college in Nanaimo, university in Victoria and seminary in Toronto. My job descriptions have included busser, logger, sanitary engineer, sales rep, youth worker, shipper, bus driver and program director. In my spare time, I love volunteering with my search & rescue team.
For the past 21 years I have had the privilege of working with volunteer teams to come alongside at-risk youth to encourage them, provide support and to introduce them to Jesus Christ. We use a coach-style bus to both run youth programs and to transport youth.
The YFC Mobile Outreach currently provides weekly programs in five First Nation communities: Esquimalt, Quw’utsun (Cowichan Tribes), Scainew (Beecher Bay) Tsawout and Tseycum. We work closely with band staff while developing and running our community-based ministries.
